Is It Now The BlackBerry Priv Instead of Venice?

No matter how you look at it, the new BlackBerry slider device IS an Android device with BlackBerry security behind it. It's a cool looking device and even the name, BlackBerry Venice, sounded cool and stylish. But now comes word that the Venice is no longer the name for the yet to be released BlackBerry slider.


Evan Blass (@evleaks), who is usually spot on with his leaked tidbits has dropped a bombshell. His tweet says that the BlackBerry Venice is going to be known as the BlackBerry Priv.

Yes....Priv.

BlackBerry Priv. Does that sound fitting for such a unique device?

Does it mean Private or Privileged? It's too early to tell but I'm of the opinion that the name Venice fits the device so much better.
